In the modern world, the hotel business is constantly undergoing transformations under the influence of innovative technologies. Web-based management systems are one of the key areas of digitization of the hotel business. These systems play an important role in increasing the efficiency and competitiveness of the hotel business as a whole, and individual hotels in particular, providing high-quality customer service and optimization of hotel operations, cost reduction, and rational use of resources (material, financial, personnel). However, modern web-based hotel management systems also have certain problems that need to be solved. These problems are caused, in particular, by the need for: information protection; providing clients and hotel administration with solutions-recommendations (according to many criteria), wide visualization of the provided information.
Digitalization of the hotel business should be based on the use of modern innovative technologies, such as, for example, artificial intelligence, machine learning, pattern recognition, etc. In addition, the digitalization of hotel operations is closely related to the development of hardware and software of modern mobile devices. Therefore, the development of mobile applications is one of the strategically important areas of development of digitization and automation in hotel management. This will help increase competitiveness, improve customer service and create new opportunities for hotel business development.
The purpose of the work is the analysis and research of problems related to the development of software for a suitable web-oriented hotel business management system, which would support a comfortable interface for system users (clients, administration and hotel employees) when choosing/booking a room, hotel or hotel service for a more accurate selection the best option for hotel rest/work taking into account the needs of the user, which are determined by a suitable survey of potential customers.
On the basis of the conducted research, we can draw conclusions that the use of web-oriented hotel management systems determines: increasing the efficiency of hotel business management due to the automation and digitization of relevant processes; improving customer service through integration with various booking channels; effective management of hotel resources. On the basis of the conducted research, a web-oriented system "Hotel" was developed, the description of which is given in the work.
