Peer Review Policy

The journal «Economic Synergy» follows a transparent, objective peer-review process to ensure the quality and integrity of its publications, in line with the recommendations of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

Purpose of the Policy

The peer review policy is designed to ensure: the quality and objectivity of scholarly publications; adherence to the principles of academic integrity; trust in the research published in the journalі.

Core Principles of Peer Review:

  • Objectivity. Reviewers assess the scientific merit of the manuscript, the validity of the data, and the soundness of the research.
  • Confidentiality. Manuscripts under review are treated as confidential and must not be used for personal purposes or shared with third parties.
  • Conflict of interest. Reviewers must disclose any potential conflicts of interest and, where appropriate, decline to review the manuscript.
  • Constructive and evidence-based feedback. Reviews should be objective, constructive, and supported by clear academic arguments. Personal criticism of authors is not acceptable.

Peer Review Process

The journal uses a double-blind peer-review model. Authors’ identities are not disclosed to reviewers, and reviewers remain anonymous to authors. This approach ensures an objective evaluation of manuscripts, independent of the authors’ personal characteristics (such as origin, nationality, or personal beliefs).

Following an initial editorial screening, manuscripts are sent to reviewers. Reviewers provide written reports with recommendations to accept, revise, or reject the manuscript. Where necessary, additional reviewers may be invited, particularly in cases of conflicting reviews or uncertainty.

Responsibilities

Reviewers are expected to adhere to the principles of academic integrity. The Editorial Office oversees the peer review process, ensures its transparency, and takes appropriate action in cases of breaches of review ethics.
